Hopi, the leader in mobile loyalty program with 6 million members in Turkey announces the shopping statistics of 2017.

The most shopped products of 2017 were shoes, trousers and t-shirts respectively. The most shopping (almost 42%) was done by people who are 26-45 years old. The most preferred colours were black, navy blue and blue respectively while orange was the least preferred colour. For shirts, mainly long-sleeved shirts were bought. Half of the products sold had a casual style. ‘Classic’ at 23% and ‘smart casual’ at 14% became the main trends following ‘casual’. While the most preferred shoes are flats, 7 out of 100 people preferred high heels.

THE CITIES WHERE MOST SHOPPING TAKES PLACE COME AS  NO SUPRISE

33% of all shopping took place in Istanbul, 9% in Ankara and 8% in Izmir successively.

THE DAYS & HOURS WE ARE HOOKED ON SHOPPING

Most shopping was done between  16.00-18.00. 22% of all shopping took place  on Sundays. Saturdays followed Sundays as the most preferred day for shopping. While people shopped in December the most, the least amount of shopping was done in February.

WOMEN OUTPERFORMED MEN IN IZMIR & RIZE

When shopping habits were reviewed against cities and gender it was revealed that women shopped in Rize shop more than men. The only other city where women shop more than men is Izmır. The quantity of women and men who shop is equal in Istanbul, Ankara and Bursa. Men shop more than women in all other cities of Turkey. 

THE MOST SHOPPED PRODUCTS CHANGE FROM MONTH TO MONTH

In December, the most cosmetic shopping was done and the highest amount of electronics were bought. The most shoes, dresses and beach products were sold in June. In September the most  bags were sold , in August the most suits and products for babies and children and in July the most evening dresses .

CUSTOMER MULTIPLIED HIS PARACIK BY 80

The customer who used his Paracik most efficiently spent his Paracik in Beymen by multiplying it  by 80.  58 % of users did  their shopping in one shop, while 42 % shopped in more than one shop. 30 % users shopped from only one brand. For customers who used Hopi while shopping in shops, 51% of mobile transactions were realized on iOS devices, and 49 % were realized on Android devices . On the other hand, for online shopping, 61% of mobile transactions were conducted on  iOS devices and 38 % on  Android devices.
